Frequently Asked Questions
We are at 227 East 11th Street in Tracy, on 11th Street by Tracy High School, across from McDonald’s and sharing a parking lot with Center Appliances. We are open Monday through Thursday, 9am to 6pm, and closed Friday through Sunday. You can request an appointment through the form on this page at any hour and we will follow up.
Often, yes, and the reason is worth understanding. Many of our patients arrive after a single therapy ran out of road: cortisone that wore off faster with each round, therapy that helped for a while, medication that managed the symptom without touching the cause. Our approach is to combine treatments rather than lean on one, and that is usually where the difference comes from. What we will not do is promise you a result before we have examined you.
It depends on what is driving your pain. Patients whose symptoms come largely from inflammation, joint mechanics, or nerve pressure often notice something within their first few visits. Regenerative treatment works on a slower clock, because tissue repair takes weeks rather than days. After your evaluation your provider will give you a realistic timeline for your situation rather than a generic one.
Plan on 45 minutes to an hour. Bring a list of your current medications with dosages, a summary of your medical and surgical history, and any recent imaging or test results you have, including X-rays, MRI reports, and nerve studies. Bring your insurance card if you have one you would like us to verify. Arriving a few minutes early lets us finish paperwork without cutting into your evaluation.
Pricing varies because patient needs vary dramatically, and quoting a number before examining you would not be honest. After your evaluation we build an individualized care plan and review the full cost with you before anything begins. Insurance verification is complimentary, and financing is available if that makes the plan easier to start.
We accept a variety of HMOs, PPOs, and other health plans, and we verify benefits at no charge for anyone who asks. Call us and we will confirm what your plan covers before you come in. We also take cash and major credit cards, and financing is available through CareCredit for up to 60 months, Cherry, and United Credit.
In most cases, no. You are welcome to call and schedule directly at (209) 830-1799. Some insurance plans do require a referral for certain services, and that is one of the things we check during your complimentary insurance verification, so you find out before your visit rather than after it.
Yes. Everything we offer is non-surgical, and the approach is built around drug-free options rather than long-term pain medication. That includes chiropractic care, spinal decompression on our FDA-cleared SpineMed® system, regenerative injections such as PRP, and ozone therapy. If your situation ever calls for care beyond what we provide, we will tell you plainly rather than keep you in a plan that is not helping.
Your care is coordinated across three providers with more than 40 years of combined experience. Dr. Joseph Sclafani, M.D., QME and Megan O’Connor, MSN, FNP-BC handle medical evaluation and injection-based treatment such as PRP and Prolozone®. Dr. Lina Yousofi, D.C. handles chiropractic adjustments, manual therapy, and spinal decompression. Which of them you meet first depends on what is bringing you in, and when your plan calls for both sides, they build it together rather than separately.
We treat pain that lives in the joints, the nerves, and the spine. That covers knee and joint pain, arthritis, peripheral neuropathy, low back and neck pain, sciatica, herniated and bulging discs, chronic headaches, carpal tunnel, tendonitis, and injuries from auto accidents and sports. If what you are dealing with is not on that list, it is still worth a call, because most of what walks through our door falls somewhere in that range.
